My name is Scott but my friends call me Burley. I got that nickname several years ago when my crew leader on the pipe maintenance crew at the County Water Dept was in a hurry and ran into me. He dropped his clipboard, fell over and as he was getting up remarked "well, ya big, burley *******...". Everyone else on the crew laughingly witnessed the event and ever since, I've been "Burley". I have a JRB Bridge hammock(acquired winter of 2011) that I love dearly which replaced my nylon mesh hammock I used for years. I am a DIYer and will probably ask many questions and possibly contribute a few good answers. I'm 41 with bad knees so ultralight is my new philosophy. I love camping in the North GA mountains and up through the Smokies on the AT. I once heard someone I respect very much say "I am a woodsman who doesn't spend enough time in the woods." That rung my bell and have been trying to correct that problem ever since.
