Bread wrapper clip = no knot tarp clip

Take a bread wrapper clip and ream 2 holes the diameter of your tarp line (use a sharp pointed knife and be careful!), run tarp line thru holes, around tree, and wrap a few times around wrapper clip. No knots. Holds great, weighs 0 grams (according to my postal scale), costs nothing. If you want beefier clips - use whole potato bag clips (not potato chip clips!). See next page for more details.

    Enjoy.

that is really cool, have you tested any amount of force on them? like how much would be on them from a breezy night...

any particular brand of bread you are using for these? The one in your pics look fairly thick compared to what I remember these things looking like.

Yep! That is way cleaver! Thanks for sharing! Just happen to have some of those things laying around. Might want to give this a go. I'll bet the wife will just "love" this idea, tpkanu.

Running Feather, how do you use a bread clip as a clothes pin? Do you set them up like tpkanu does?

Cool idea. Now I wonder if my local bread suppliers will swap to twist ties only like a certain Beer manufacturer swapped cans.

Wow - nice! Curious whether it matters which direction you wrap the line around the clip. For example, in your second picture, would you wrap the line around the clip horizontally, or vertically (over the top of the standing end)? I will most definitely try this!
