    More Snow?!?!

Don't get me wrong... I love the snow. I love snow camping. But I am supposed to start a ~50 mile backpacking trip in Tahoe with my Dad in three weeks. The area we will be in just got three inches last night and is expecting 12 more today. That puts the total on the ground to over 10' ...

Mother Nature, in case you didn't notice, IT IS ALMOST JUNE! C'MON!

Looks like we will be postponing until... who knows lol...

On the plus side, looks like sledding while watching fireworks will be possible this year
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I have not lived.

Yep it was a wild year. I just saw that Snowbird Utah had ~ 750" so far this year, still have ~ 13 feet on the ground at mid-mountain and were planning to be open for skiing until at least July 4th.

    Spring

It sure has been an interesting year weather wise in Central/Northern Cal. We just had some real rain again on Saturday, which is pretty rare this time of year. Personally I love it all except the wind..
