Three Season Hex Cuben Fiber CTF3 Hammock Tarp

Our new three season hex hammock tarp is built with a flat ridgeline and catenary cut edges to keep everything tight as a drum. We use a yellowish green (chartreuse) reflective CTF3 cuben fiber material that weighs .81oz per square yard. This material is very similar to the standard .75oz CT2K.08 that other companies use but it has a reflective metalized film on the bottom side. The reflective nature of the material helps to reflect sunlight so you don't roast when its hot out and helps to reflect your body heat so you don't freeze when its cold out. The ridgeline and edges are 100% bonded using our proprietary bonding method that we developed over the last few years. Our grosgrain webbing tieout’s are double reinforced, bonded and then bar-tacked in place using a very long and wide zig zag stitch pattern to make sure we don't over sew the material and weaken it in any way. We install LineLoc's at all tieout points to make sure you can pitch the tarp every way possible.

    Dimensions: 11' long ridgeline x 7' long bottom edge x 9' wide
    Weight: 8.75oz
    Includes: Cuben Fiber Stuff Sack
    Price: $275.00

    Wow

    Lawson,
That is a thing of beauty Nicely done

That said...any thoughts on side pull outs and how much they might add to the overall weight?

I am not sure if side pullouts are needed. I have used my personal 3 season hex in 30mph sideway's winds with no issues what so ever. Cuben doesn't stretch so once the tarp is pitched drum tight there really should be minimum deflection and no flapping. Silnylon on the other hand is a different story.

Two side pullouts per side would add about 1 oz of weight and I will add them to any tarp.

To boost sales I have decided to offer these tarps for a limited time at $225.00 each. Think of this as an introductory sale. This offer is good on all my new tarps will only last for about a week.

    Thanks,

Thanks Lawson. As if my wife doesn't already hate me for how much money I spend on gear, you have to go and make one ridiculously affordable.

With this new cuben material you are using. It looks like it will block out all sun light and you will not be able to see through it. Is this correct? One of the appeals I like about cuben is the abbility to see through it, compared to a nylon tarp. This would be nice in bear county. I'd like to see the bear before he eats me.

That is correct. The new material blocks out most of the sunlight and provides tons of shade. Normal cuben isn't really see though either. It will show colors and shapes but they are by no means defined so I am not really sure you would be able to see a bear coming. I have some normal cuben instock but only enough for maybe one or two tarps if you would prefer this material over the reflective stuff but once its gone I only plan to build tarps out of the reflective material.

    Thanks,
    Lawson
