I just slept the last two nights on the Art Loeb trail with my 3/4 Winter Phoenix. Last night was REALLY windy and about 60 deg, but I was toasty warm with my under quilt, 32 deg sleeping bag as a top quilt and my Big MJ tarp from Warbonnet (no doors yet, they're in the mail). I also had a Gossamer Gear foam pad that I put in the foot box (http://gossamergear.com/sleeping/nig...so-length.html). Once I got it set where I liked it it didn't move. I think you went with the right choice.

I just came back from from a night on the Art Lobe hanging. I was just in my sleeping bag. It was not 60F last night, though the weather report said it would be. We called the trip due to being unprepared. Deep Gap at the base of Cold Mt. was rather frigid. I am now in the market for an under-quilt before my next hang. All of my previous hangs have been in hot weather and I did not realize how in need of one I was.

Dale Gribble: I'm thinking, "new hammock." For me, laying and swaying in a hammock is like a steady morphine drip without the risk of renal failure.

Randy : yea but just remember yer roots and where ya come from....you got Hennessy in yer blood son......
