Anyone use the 1.5oz ripstop from backwoodsdaydreamer/mydiygear for a gathered end hammock? I am 225# and wondering if it would hold my weight well without stretch. Any info would be helpful.

I haven't used that material, but would expect some stretch. I'm a light weight and notice the difference between 1.3 and 1.9 - the 1.9 being much more solid. That said, I will leave it to others to decide if there is too much stretch. I have hammocks made from the lighter weight material and just live with an amount of stretch.
BTW, where in NH are you? I grew up in Henniker, and will be up in Madison for much of June/July.
Here's a link that has the best info I've seen for weight limits.

I have used BWDD 1.5 oz ripstop to make several gathered end hammocks. I am in the 200 lb range and I feel more then comfortable in it. I did not feel it had to much stretch.
I think you would want to double layer 1.5 for your weight.
That 1.5 would be fine for your weight.

I am 210lbs in my birthday suit. I have a 1.1 single (olive from BWDD) It stretches a bit, but is very comfortable.
I would think a 1.5 single would be fine.
