Looks like I'm hanging around the NE

Greetings, summers about here and I'm figuring on spending some time camping in Maine. I've got at least 50 nights in with my original Hennesy Hammock, But am looking to improve my insulation and technique so I don't freeze my *** off again this year.

Hello and Welcome! Definitely want to avoid the frozen butt syndrome. A good top and bottom quilt will keep you toasty.

Welcome to the Hammock forums, bark-eater. You should definitely find a way to keep your butt warm. If you can swing an underquilt its really worth it.

There is information around about preparing food - should you tire of the bark.

===Welcome to the New England woods from Mass! An Underquilt from any of our "cottage industry" folks here will keep your butt warm! I just bought/used one from AHE-Arrowhead - the New River - and it kept me toasty all night!

We have a lot of hikers/hangers up here ..... stay here, read, and come hang with some of us!
