being a tall (6'6") guy. What under quilts would work for me? I would prefer a full length setup, more for winter time camping. For the summer I do have a pad that I can use. Same question for a top quilt.
The hammock I have on order is a WBBB 1.7.
Looking for top quality equipment, dont want to have to buy things twice anymore.
Well i'm 6'4" and use a Hammockgear Winter Incubator with great success on the WBBB. Really great workmanship!

http://www.hammockgear.com/cart/ does custom work and makes excellent quilts. Adam's Burrows and Incubators are both top notch. His standard long/wide would easily accommodate you. I have a winter long and it's plenty long enough although I am only 6'.
But all vendors here on HF make great quilts

At this point I'm unsure which way to go, would like something very light (so the cost is going up)
i'm a full length, synthetic guy so i'm not in the norm. my UQ weighs about 40 oz. and takes up about 3 times as much space in the pack as a 3/4 down UQ. but i don't mind those things, as i don't do much distance hiking.
I use a 3/4 Phoenix for winter and summer and an Incubator for 3 season. Never used synthetic before but I love downy goodness warmth. Synthetic def has it's advantages like if it get's wet it still works but as long as you keep your down dry their is nothing to worry about. Also synthetic is going to be cheaper then a down UQ but a down UQ is going to pack smaller and weight less.

+1,000,000 for HammockGear! I have a Burrow that is 84x56 and I loooove it! I have a 3S Incubator on the way as well. They are willing to meet your needs no matter what and that's what sets them apart from the competition.
I'd look towards Hammock gear if I were you. Not all quilt makers understand what being taller that 5' 6" is like. Also, if you want your quilt to do double-duty on the ground, you'll probably want 50+" in width at the top (you need to measure). Be aware that footboxes might need to be sized a bit larger unless you have tiny feet. I suggest you email potential quilt vendors to discuss your needs. You are going to spend a large chunk of change for an item that can certainly be customized by these cottage vendors.
5thracer, I'm not nearly as tall as you are, but I have also been looking for a good quality UQ. And also like you I want it to be a "one and done" type of situation. After poking around for a long time I decided on the Crowsnest system for TQ and UQ, amazing stuff and well priced. My setup is mainly for late spring into early fall, so you might be looking for different lengths/down fills. I do however, recommend real down vs. any type of synthetic or combo, it just wins in weight and compression categories, efficient stuff. Good luck and happy hangin'!
