Someone has already mentioned it, but there is the Jericoh hang coming up. Will likely get to see some cool DIY and purchased setups there.
Thanks for the info, it's funny how something you never even considered suddenly becomes an obsession!! I mean a few weeks ago, I had no clue that there was such a thing as a whoopie sling! LOL

Long story short, I met several "hangers" and borrowed a hammock for a trip last weekend. I am a restless sleeper on the ground and wake early and often, crawling out of the tent stiff and sore. When I woke up this weekend, I lay looking out at the trees with my bag snug around me.....and then it dawned on me....I actually wanted to stay in the hammock!!!
Ordered my Warbonnet Blackbird this afternoon. .... Look forward to a new journey
    Hammock is IN TRANSIT!!!!!!!

Sassafras, welcome to the group. When I saw your name I thought it was a friend of mine who lives in Mich.

Welcome to HF and enjoy that WBBB! You picked a great rig from the start and if you are like me you will never regret the switch from ground to hammock!

First thing I remembered was the dreaded PUD on the AT in Georgia by the same name ~Sassafras~ I hope you are not as ornery as it is!
Seriously welcome to a true family forum, so many many great people here who will help you in anyway to get your hang on.
If I may give some advice, go ahead and start planning now on how you can hang in your home
There are two levels of ascension...off the ground and away from the roots/rocks; and then the second rising-off the bed.
