As another mid-forties dude, I tip my hat to you.
Go as far as you want at your own pace. Hike your own hike! The miles will come if that's what's important to you.
P.S. That's a big reason why I canoe. Cover miles without all of the wear and tear.
And keep those videos coming.. There's great to watch.

Nice vid! Thanks for sharing!
I agree that you style of shooting video is viewer friendly and I'd love to see more. Good job!
Nice video. Thanks for posting.
The mileage is the reason I didn't try that hike. I am old, overweight and out of shape and cannot do 10 miles a day. The first part of that looks like a nice 3 or 4 day trip for me.
Love the scenery. Ben is adorable. Thanks for sharing the video
When it seems like the night will last forever
And there's nothing left to do but count the years
When the strings of my heart start to sever
And stones fall from my eyes instead of tears
I will walk alone by the black muddy river
And dream me a dream of my own

Great video! The NCT is beautiful up through that part of PA. I was in the ANF this past weekend - my first hike of Minister Creek without snowshoes on, and boy was it busy. I hope your feet heal quickly, and that you can get out again soon - maybe I'll see you on the NCT sometime!
Great start. Those 15-mile days at the start can be brutal. Way to give it your best shot.
“Tarp campers are livers with nature and intimately know not only wind and bugs but also sights of moonlit clouds and shooting stars and dawn, scents of pine needles and flowers and grasses….their nights are as memorable as their days.”
