Invented by (former?) senior member blackbishop351 a few years ago, so actually it's name is / was a "black Bishop Bag" but it has slowly devolved to a "Bishop Bag". Same thing, eminently useful, easy to make from an existing stuff sack or a DIY project from scratch.
Mine is DIM & of sil nylon & is large enough to hold my hammock, BBO, Under quilt & 1X at the same time, allowing almost instant set up once my tree huggers are in place.
When you have a backpack on, no matter where you are, you’re home.
PAIN is INEVITABLE. MISERY is OPTIONAL.

+1 for JustJeff's instructions. Had an extra stuffsack lying around. Cut a hole in it and put some GE silicone II on it to keep the raw edges from fraying. Been working well as a tarp bag for a season now.

Didn't think of the burn method. That would require no additional materials. Me likee.

I had my girlfriend do pretty much the same thing for my Traveler stuffsack. She just split the seam and resewed the edges. Works great!

I burned a little hole in a stuffsack for my first one, just to see if I like it. I did.

It eventually began to fray, so I made another one. And another one. And...I think I have four now.
