    one ended stand?

i'm interested in making a one-ended hammock stand, are there any plans laying around for something like that? i searched but couldn't find anything.

i'm interested in a couple of uses ... 1 car camping in places that don't have trees, i figure i can hang one end off my truck and then one end off a "half-stand"

futhermore, in my yard, i have a lot of trees, but none make for really great hanging spot, but if i had a "half-stand" i'd be all set.

i'm sure some sort of tripod shape would do, but i'm concerned about pulling it to the side. anyone done anything like this??

I'd be interested in this too, as I only have one large tree in the front yard, and one big tree in the back yard, and nothing else to hang from.

Well at that point might as well build a full stand.. Not that much more material. But Give me a day or so and Ill draw up some ideas.
Ive already been working on plans for a Mortise and Tenon pin together hammock stand with fancy Viking type dragon heads.. (cause I can)

I also have a Portable Slack Rope stand that would work with stakes. No reason that cant work as well... Might need some extra rope.
