Making a hammock for the wife

So now that Ive made my first working hammock my wife has decided that she would hike/camp with me more if I were to make her a hammock. So I told her to pick out the color and I would do it. I told her one color had to be black so our hammocks would at least match on the underside. Fluorescent pink...Thats the other color she wanted. lol. I made the mistake of showing her a couple pictures I found on her of someone's kids and one of them had a pink hammock. Heres a picture from the ebay ad I ordered the fabric from.

Anyway. Its going to be rough sewing it all together without sunglasses but I figured I would share.

Get a brown UQ to go around it and call it the floating HotDog

It looks like that hammock should be able to double as an emergency beacon.

Its great that you are making her a hammock. If it comes at the expense of a pair sunglasses - it will be worth it.

I actually made a hammock out of that exact same color for my gf. She wanted to pick the girliest color she could find so my friends don't try and use her gear. You must of gotten the fabric from the ebay lady too. Have fun making it.

Hot pink is a small price to pay! I'd gladly tie-dye a fusia, mauve, teil, and taupe hammock (and then appliqué unicorns, butterflies, and fairies all over the thing) just to get the Missus up in the air. In her defense, she would view that hammock as an abomination, but that doesn't make her any less of a groundling. --sigh-- One day! One day...
You're gonna need a bigger hammock

Thats what I was thinking. Small price to pay. Plus its a great trail conversation starter for the passing campers.
