Grats on your new hammock, only a few more weeks!

I too, use the Garda Hitch. Works excellent. I am new to hanging and at first I was doing it a bit wrong, sitting in my hammock and all of a sudden, plop, my butt was on the ground. But now I figured out what I was doing wrong and it works great.

Be very careful changing the suspension. Make sure to read thru the threads in here as well as check out the youtube video. Just a couple of things to bear in mind: I have seen at least 1 person rip the end of their hammock by doing this mod and I think this will void your warranty if that makes any difference to you. Good luck!

Mancat is correct. Altering the hammock this way would void the warranty.

I didnt buy mine from hennessy direct but I can say the garda hitch works perfectly find and Ive used it since I started. I have read that the lighter hammocks have smaller ropes and dont work so great with the garda hitch though.
