    Question on knots

    Hey guys!

Quick question....I bought a one link eno system (do to the fact I get it at a discount) and was setting it up today. What are some good quick release knots I can use for the bugnet ridgeline so that it will stay tight, as well as the quick release knot for the rain fly. I'm probably going to end up making my own, after seeing how much easier shug's set up is, but for right now thats what Im working with.

Here's a pretty handy illustration by dejoha that shows a variety of ways to do it. I like the prussic loop because it's fully adjustable, and it doesn't get any quick-releaser ( sorry, love to make up words) than releasing a biner or soft shackle.

    Hope this helps.
You're gonna need a bigger hammock

for my rain fly, I use a tautline hitch with a slip on the very last part of the knot. I put a knot in the end of my line and spliced the tail back into it's self so I can't pull it all the way through the tautline hitch. Now, even with gloves on, I can untie this knot. I also like using a bowline with a slip.

Thanks guys.....I figure if I have to figure out new suspensions and ridgelines.....I might as well start from scratch instead of trying to adjust them to my eno....
