I like it a lot, but I have come to have a but.

    A big but what if.

On my last hike i came across these small fellows who were all over. On top of my tarp, under it and all over my mosquito netting. Luckily I was in my WB Traveler with WB mosquito netting.

Had i been in my WBBB they would have come in-between the hammock and the HG under quilt, messing it all up.

As with the WBBB there could be a problem with your setup.

    Just my 2 cent.

    Best,
    Blaze

We get these critters a lot during certain times of year as well...what's worse, here the hairy ones are actually POISONOUS!
...their hair contains an irritant that causes terrible skin eruptions like poison ivy...

Permethrin would keep them from crawling into that bug setup listed here, I'd guess. However, in our case, just having one of these land on your rig would be unfortunate, as dead or alive, once you came in contact with the hairs that were left on the screen, you'd be toast...

They crawl around on leaves, but also repel down from trees by their silk

In certain areas here, it can be a problem hanging out wash. If the wash is down wind of some caterpillars, the clothese will be contaminated and users will get some pretty bad rashes...

That's awesome!! I love the design and nice work putting it together.
Fantastic. You should have many relaxing, bug-free nights in that one!

I threaded the suspension through a pencil sized slit I left at the top of the seam when I sewed the ridge cap to the sides. You could install it after you hung the hammock. If you were going to do that every time you hung, you could leave a bigger slit with velcro to close it up or something similar.

You've probably seen pillow envelope seams on the back of decorative pillow shams. They're just two pieces of fabric that, instead of being sewn together to make a permanent closure, overlap each other to make a closure that can be opened. These are the best pictures I can find:

    Ah...I think I get it.

When you said "Then I sewed it down to the net on both sides (the "pillow envelope" seam). ", do you mean you sewed the outer/bottom ends of the ridgecap to the bugnet sides along the seam where the two sides had been sewn together?

    Thanks Pips!
Your design deals with my zipper issues, diy bug socks that were a bit of a disappointment.
