Bigger guy going from WBBB 1.7dbl to 1.1 dbl

So I wanted to get a second hammock for my son and girlfriend to use. I wanted to give it a shot too since it does save some weight. So I got the WBBB 1.1 dbl. They are both in the 100-120 lbs range.

I'm happy with my 1.7 dbl and can adjust it to my satisfaction.

    I'm 6'3" 225.

I know I'm way closer to the weight limit of the 1.1 dbl and figured it wouldn't lay as flat.

I couldn't really get near as comfortable. I wonder if my experience is the same as others. Maybe I need to play with it more and hear how others adjust their behaviors with it. Basically, it's just not as flat of a lay at my weight probably. I can't imagine sleeping on my side in it.

I'd think the 1.1 dbl will behave/adjust the same per their weight as my 1.7 dbl does to me. I think I just need to stay out.

They will have no idea and will probably give me poor feedback and if they have a bad experience I'll probably be back in the uncomfortable tent with them.

I'm hoping they will fill the same comfort being basically half my weight in the 1.1 dbl.

I am 6'2" and 285 and have a 1.7 dbl. I find it to be very comfortable for me.

Finding the "sweet" spot is different for each of us and you will just have to play with your hanging to find yours. I find like many folks on the forum report that I do better with the foot end a little higher than the head end.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

My buddy Bloomgorge is like 6' 3" and like 245 and he is using a 1.0 dbl and loving it.

I'm 6' 225 (but going down thankfully) and find my 1.0 dbl good enough (and I'm a side sleeper). I'm sure a 1.7 would be flatter but the lesser weight and cost makes it an easy trade-off.
