I have the Ultra and I really like it. I'm adding the pole mod and this winter will add removable doors. You're gonna love how easy this tarp is to set up and it stays tight.

i actually had brian remove the center guy outs , so it looks just like a big deluxe. i wanted to keep the width of the tarp as smaal as possible while still keeping the 144" ridgeline

i just recieved my custom deluxe from oes, it has the same cut as the deluxe but a 144' ridgeline. wieghs in rigged at 16.6oz and fits the switchback perfectly. i really like the way it provides plenty of coverage, without feeling too big,
and as you mac cat owners know ,the workmanship is flawless.
man i wish it would rain!

Glad you're pleased BB. I tested mine well this past weekend on my hike with the torrential rains we're having! It's headed your way...Enjoy!

I am new to this. Just got a couple of hammocks and am preparing for an overnight to give them a try. No tarp and I can't believe the prices. I am disabled and on a fixed income and the tarp prices are waaaaayyy outside my budget.
I thought about DIY but can't find any material locally and material prices are high. What suggestions do you guys have for a extremely low cost alternative?
I am trying to cover 2 hammocks.

There's nothing wrong with a plastic tarp if you're car camping until you can find a deal on something lighter. Also Chinook Guide Gear tarps aren't bad. They are heavier than a silnylon tarp because they're coated polyester. But really good tarps for around 30 or 40 bucks a piece. I think there's one for sale in the For Sale Forum right now if he hasn't sold it.
You also can hang close and use one really big tarp over both of you. Something like a 12X10 would do it.

We will be backpacking so weight is somewhat of an issue. Hanging close sounds good (it's what the wife wants) so I guess I'll try to find/DIY a big tarp. Now to find a decent material. I just bought a used sewing machine yesterday and I need to learn to use it.
