Dad and Son in one bugnet

Last weekend I won over my wife and got her to hammock camp with me so know I am working on my 7 year old son. Eventually he will want his own hammock but for now I want Him to feel safe in the woods so being close to me is the best bet. This was my first attempt at getting both hammocks inside the ENO bugnet and it worked out great but will need some more work to get the geometry correct so that both suspension lines come out the small hole in the end of the net and the net is slack enough to allow an underquilt. Next time I am going to hang both hammocks from one set of tree straps to help simplify things some. I am going to use an underquilt and topquilt and I think my son will get by with only a top quilt and maybe a pad as he will be only just above me and my topquilt will be up against his backside but time will tell. Being able to hang under one tarp and zipped into the same net is going to make my son happy and that's what I'm after cause I need a hiking buddy

That's awesome! Pretty sweet you're both able to hang in the same net. A couple nights of settling in and I bet he'll want his own.

Sweet. My son was the opposite. He wanted his own. Said he was a big boy and didn't need me anymore. I never thought of what you did. I suffered in a tent with him until he wanted to have his own set up.
