    Question Jarbridge River UQ Questions

Like almost all my posts, this on is aimed to help me find my first under quilt.
A likely contender is Arrowhead Equipment's Jarbridge River. I do, however, have a couple concerns.

While the price and weight agree with me, the 3/4 length raises an eye brow. Would my feet poking into un-insulated hammock freeze (not worried about my head, a pillow will do)? Arrowhead's website says it'll carry me into the 30's, but it would seem like my little piggies wouldn't be so toasty.

Quibble #2? Its compressibility. In the picture on Arrowhead it looks rather large. That is to say, large for what I think It could do. Judging by the picture, I think I could cut the space in half by putting the under quilt in a compression stuff sack instead of the bag provided. If anyone were to give me the original dimensions and their opinions on the matter, I would much appreciate it.

As always, any other quilt suggestions, comments, or concerns are warmly welcomed. With ya'll's help I can graduate from being the user who asks the questions, to being the inciteful user who answers the questions like you guys and gals.

well the underquilt game is pretty much you have your full length which will obviously weigh more but sometimes its a little less fiddle factor. but alot of Ultralight guys use a 2/3 or a 3/4 length because it weighs less and your feet need less insulation so socks and a small foot pad. like a cut blue walmart pad or others. its the lighter option and some people find it just as comfy. and yes with most quilts they compress alot alot more than the bag there in. you could use a jrb compression sack and get it a bit smaller. I really havent tried a 2/3 or 3/4 but thats what they mean by it. its to be used with small foot pad in winter monthes. the temperature rating is true to where the quilt covers.
Dale Gribble: I'm thinking, "new hammock." For me, laying and swaying in a hammock is like a steady morphine drip without the risk of renal failure.

Randy : yea but just remember yer roots and where ya come from....you got Hennessy in yer blood son......
