Never thought of that! It'd be like having an extra ridge line. If your whoopies are too long, you could try attaching each one to the opposite eye of the stand, and it would be like having 2 extra ridgelines (think of all the crud you hang on those babies! )
You're gonna need a bigger hammock

Run your whoopies thru the attachment eye of the stand, over to the middle, where you attach both whoopies together with a carabiner. Adjust for proper elevation. If your whoopies are to short for this, suplement with more line or a tree strap.

Doing this may raise the ends of the hammock enough to clear the stand, and consume the extra "dead" space of line at each end of the hammock. You should be able to draw the hammock ends completely up to the attachment eyes.

I've done this before on my indoor set up (hook eyes in the walls) and it works. It should work with a stand. Some of the stands angles just are not useful for camping style hammocks.

    Give it a try.
I thought of that. That is exactly what I tried, I could not get my HH hammock high enough so that I did not sit on the ground when in it, also, I could not get it tight enough so that the ridgeline was tight while I was attempting to lay in the HH. (more like sitting in fabric tube with my cheeks straddling the bottom support pole....not comfortable at all!!)

Something that might also help me out, (I found on some other posts), is to use another line to take all of the flex out of my stand before I hang my hammock...like a second ridgeline from tip to tip on the stand. That might help some.

Sure! A truckers hitch could crank the ends closer. Just out of curiosity... how much space do you have between the eye ends and the end of your hammock?

hmmm....without setting it up again....I think about 8" on a side for my HH. My ENO DN only had enough room to attach a regular caribiner to the loop that exits the bundled end of the hammock, but the ENO hung well enough to be off of the ground, but the sag was not enough to be comfortable.
