    Gathered end hammock question

So I made the simple gathered end hammock. It seems that while laying in it the center of the fabric is tight and the sides of it are floppy. Could anyone tell me if there is a solution? I tried different length ridgeline and even without a ridge line.
    Thanks

Are you lying on the diagonal. If not that could be the problem I think.

that has been the case in all the gathered end hammocks i have owned, you get a ridge down the center . hanging it more loosely can alleviate this a little, but it never goes away entirely.

Check out this thread. It's a fix for the floppy sides.

Check out Just Jeff's page about how he whips ends and this thread about the DIY Hennessy Hammock. They might help guide you towards tighter sides.
