Tarp for Doublenest?

Chorpie, I use a Gear Guide 12x12, which I think is comparable to your Kelty. Rather than inverting my poles, I secure them to my tie out points using a clove hitch in my guyline, right next to my tarp. http://www.animatedknots.com/cloveen...matedknots.com

I then stake out the guylines and secure each with a tautline hitch.

The ENO is an 8 foot hammock and any diamond tarp will work fine with it. I used a Noah Tarp 9 with mine this past year and it worked wonderfully. The only time it wouldn't is during snow because it will blow underneath. The simplicity was a real plus, two trees, two steaks. I weathered rain storms and wind with no problem. I have a 102" hammock now and bought a Macat. Love it

Taut-line hitch at the stakes...

So...from the tie out point, run the guyline to your hiking pole and wrap a clove hitch around it, then run the guyline to your stake. Loop the guyline around the stake...just a single loop...and tie off a taut-line hitch to the line. Once you set the knot, it should hold under moderate stress, yet you can still slide it up and down the guyline increasing or decreasing the tension.

For the ENO Double, I'd say +1 on the Kelty Noah's 12 for options, I've pitched it as a diamond and put 2 hammocks under it where the heads were tied to one tree and the feet to two trees about 5 feet apart, kinda like a dorm room in the woods. It is large enough that you won't get wet. I've not pitched mine on anything but a diagonal yet, but I've used it higher up for shade and lower and tighter for wind. It is a 2lb to 2.5lb tarp depending how you carry it.

I just used a Warbonnet Big Mamajama w/ doors this weekend, and actually have an order in right now for his Superfly and can't wait, that was awesome. It was like a tent for my hammock and I'm sure I could use it for ground dwelling if I snag or make a shelter w/ a bottom & bugnet.
