Hello All,
I recently discovered hammock camping a few weeks ago, when a friend of mine showed me his hammock that folded up into this little bag thing. They make those?! I needed one! The concept just made a lot of sense to me.
I was able to catch the ENO DoubleNest on sale, so I picked one up to start with. When the box arrived and I pulled the hammock out, I was bummed to find that I had no idea how I would hang this thing. Off to YouTube I went and watched videos by Shug...which then led me to Grizz's videos. I will be forever grateful for the info that I was able to gain from those two AND they helped me find this forum.
Currently, my only hangs have only been in my backyard. My two year old daughter has really enjoyed laying in it with me in the afternoons and we watch the birds fly over. I really appreciate the simplicity of it and it has been a great way to find some down time at night.
In a couple of weeks, I will be camping in my hammock for the first time @ the Gorge. These forums have been priceless in helping me get everything in order for my first night.
So thank all of you for your contributions...while hard on my wallet...it has been a great resource for new comers like me. I look forward to spending more time here and hopefully contributing as I learn more myself.
Anybody in the Central Kentucky area let me know...I am interested in networking with others in my area!
