    Web suspension on my Hennessy

so I tried the whoopie sling... just not what I was looking for.
so I tried web suspension with descender rings and I think this is more what I was looking for.

Now... it is get it all together and safe.
the hennessy has that goofy burned holes gathered end setup so the challange was getting the rings connected to the end without a frankenstein of soft biners and loops.

so I figuered I would just try it the way you would a gathered end hammock... amsteel loop and larkshead/prussic it to the hammock and rings.

but after doing that... I started looking at it and was not feeling warm and fuzzy about the hammock end...

here is some pictures... I just feel like it is going to slide off... anybody done this? any Ideas to make this safer ?

Yes that works for whoopies.. but if I tie it to the hammock like that... how can I get it on the rings ?

I would create a section of amsteel with a locked brummel on each end one large enough to pass the rings through. Then larks head the smaller loop to the rings. Pass the larger brummel through the hammock as instructed in the video.

You can do as packeagle suggested with a continuous loop as well.

I just switch the suspension on my Son's HH Scout to straps and cinch buckles. Here's a link that shows some details on what I did:

    http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/s...ighlight=scout

One think I noticed is there are several sharp melted edges where the HH holes are melted through and I took time to trim and smooth some of the sharpe edges to prevent premature wear on the Amsteel.

    thanks GvilleDave... great Pictures.
I did a zipper mod on my expedition... bottom entry is prob good for the jungle.... but is way to limiting for my needs.
