JayS, me too. It's a long time since I played with rope for fun and all these new kind of rope and hardware just have me buzzing.
Zmad, I think it may be possible if someone organized a group buy. I'm no good to do it because I'm in Canada. Shiping to Canada from US is a pain. The other way is worse.

Would love to but to much going on in my life work wise to do that now. Also i have no clue about rope. Contact Opie about that. He has done it before. I will defiantly be in on that. I might give a fabric buy a try but thats not going to happen for a little while.

Like gmcttr said - I have found Luke at Treestuff great and their pricing for Zing-it and Dynaglide the cheapest so far.

For anyone in Canada I found a local arborist supply shop that will sell me 1000' of the 1.75mm Zing It for $162.50 and since it local I don't have to pay shipping. Since I want to get a bunch of this but don't necessarily need 1000' feet, I'd be willing to sell it at what I paid for it ($0.17/ft) plus you'd pay postage, which I think would be pretty little even for a big length because its so light.

If anyone is interested let me know, otherwise I'll just get the 180' spool!

Yeah, depending on the hank size you should be able to use envelopes and pay a couple bucks to mail them. Mini Canada only group buy?

Not sure what you pay tax wise in Alberta but Treestuff has 1000' for 124.95 and the shipping is around $10. That puts you around 13.5 cents per foot. Seems pretty substantial and shipping took about a week or so to Toronto.

    They also offer a discount:

To get your 5% discount: Simply enter the word ARBORIST into the coupon box when you are checking out.

Hmm that might be an even better deal. I'm just curious where you got the $10 shipping charge from? When I put in my the info for shipping it says it will be about $19.50? Did you contact them for cheaper shipping?
