I NEED HELP! (tying a vietnamese hammock)

backstory: my mom bought a hammock when she went to Vietnam. i borrowed it for awhile but apparently it's not very weather resistant so it broke one day... now she wants it back so i basically need to recreate these knots so my mom doesn't get angry with me... this is pretty urgent since it's potentially dealing with the wrath of my mom...

SO HELP PLEASE! the knots look pretty intricate. It's a Duy Loi hammock. The website can be read in english too. www.duyloi.com

here are some pictures of the sad, broken hammock. i just need to recreate the knots to the ring, which links onto the stand.

the string loops through these holes and through the plastic piece:

here are some pics i found of the hammock on the web:

please please help me somehow. i've tried finding out a place that would sell this hammock but since it's from vietnam, it's near to impossible.... PLEASE HELP ME! THANK YOU SO MUCH.

You'll need new ropes for sure. Maybe you can replace them with something more durable since you have the opportunity.
I've seen that knot in the Ashley Book of Knots. It's called the hammock ring knot or hammock clew knot.
Here's a web page with directions.

If I remember right, Ashley's Book of Knots has a descrition of how to tie those hammock in the practical/decoritive sections in the back half of the book...but that will only help you if you have a copy...
