    Any Fan Users?

Does anyone out there use and recommend a camping Fan to beat the summer heat while hammocking?

I am looking at a week in South Ga, and right now it is looking to be HOT!

    Thanks

I have never used one in my hammock, but I have used one in a large tent. It worked pretty good, but it EATS batteries. 4 'D' cells a night!

Something like small fan this will keep you cooler and move the air. I have a small one and am surprised that I have to actually turn it off on a hot night ...late at night.

I have one like shug mentioned, found mine at the $ store for a buck. Runs on two AA batteries. But when its 100*'s out these won't help much.

There were some threads last summer on fans, some searchin' may provide more results.

On page 13 of the link below is the fan I use. Kind of taken from T-Back's design and this thread has alot of different types and discussion. One mod i have made to mine since these pics is added another s-biner to the back side so it hangs more like a ceiling fan and doesnt rotate.

I use an Off-Clip without the Off packet in it. I took the front cover off it and it is really light and effective. I was sleeping on a trip last weekend in KY and temps were in the 90's during the day. It cooled me off at night and I had to turn it off sometime in the night. I have found it to be a cheap, efficient and light fan.

Maybe I should just have a scout fan me all night. Think any parents would mind.

Miller, are you going to be backpacking, or car camping?
