I had one of those. It was fine. The only noted problem, which is minor, was that overnight the strings would stretch, so that by morning my butt was touching the ground (barely or nearly, depending on how tightly strung)
I gave it to a nephew when I began DIY. He is still using it 3 or 4 years later with no complaint.

dirt wheels said "replacing the factor clews with lashit"
I take it that the "strings" are more properly called "factor clews" in some obtuse lingo. And "lashit " is a product name?
Never to old to learn.

That's what I was told by someone much smarter than me, I just figured everyone else knew more than this ol' southern boy, really before that I had no clue there was any such thing as a clew, admittedly I was, and still may be for the most part clewless.

Yes lashit is a hollow core line that is spliceable like amsteel. Check the suspension section on dogbones. They're lengths of cordage with fixed loops on each end.
I set the hammock up, and measured each individual loop down to the hammock from the top of the longest points of the assembly, which I learned was a clew. Initially I thought that tare fancy know thang at de end of dem loops was de clew, (oops I started typing all southern and everything, my bad), but I learned that the entire cord assembly was the clew. I saw a informative thread Dehoja (sp) the Ultimate Hang guy, did demonstrating how to tie a clew. You may want to check it out, but for this southern boy, I like the dogbones to a carabiner or a continuous loop approach best. Look at the picks on this thread and the no more tangles thread for pics.
Oh, and I must have mistyped factor instead of factory, snagged by proof reading again.
Hey Guys Havent Been on in a LONG time! i hung my hammock corecty in a barn and slept great except my sleping pad kept falling out, but i am going to try it some more
