    rainfly set up input needed

I have a HH Ultralite Backpacker with the standard rainfly. Do you know of any videos on setting up that rainfly on the that hammock or at least with that rainfly? I haven’t been able to find one, at least not with the standard rainfly.

Is that the standard fly size? It looked larger than the standard fly.
How about which ends of the fly (since it's asymetrical) to be attaching the trees? I was wondering if I had the fly turned wrong.

Try this. Lay your hammock on the ground with the 4 "corners" spread out. Lay your rainfly on top of the hammock to match the 4 "corners" of the hammock. Now you can see how the rainfly should be positioned above the hammock.

You may want to identify the head-end of both the hammock and rainfly (perhaps tying a bit of string) so you'll know before setup where the entrance end is on the hammock as well as how the rainfly should be positioned above the hammock.

what you want are the video's with the young blonde. They are not easy to find right now. I'm not sure if they are having a problem or changing direction. The easy way to pick the tarp end is to hang the hammock then drape the tarp over the ridge line. Because it is asymetrical the side tie outs will either line up with the tarp corners or not. You want them to line up. Play with it for 5 min and you will see what I mean. Once the tarp is on leave it on. The only changes you might make are whether to tie the sides out high or stake them low.

I'm confused with your confusion. If you are asking how to attach it to the suspension on the hammock, well then, just hook the mitten hook prussik thing that is attached to suspension line on the hammock to the ring on each end of the tarp ridgeline and adjust the tension on the prussik as necessary. The ends on your tarp that have guylines attached are not the ridgeline. They are used to tie the tarp out/down.

If you are asking how to hang the tarp without using the hammock suspension lines that is another lesson. Although the easy answer is to just tie or run a line from each of those same rings on the tarp ridgeline and then tie it all off to the trees.
