If you are anywhere near Manchester NH, get your Hennessy from REI. That way you have a bulklet proof return policy if you don't like it.
Re camp sites in NH. I am currently clocking up 4K peaks, and I would say there are plenty of suitable trees at lower levels, but not much high up. Anyway, we are asked not to go of trail in the Alpine zone. Even if one could, the trees are packed and short, so not much use. Given how foul the weather can become in the Whites, suggest the hex tarp, but it is heavy and bulky. It will definitely be better for "camping" rather than "hiking"
