Received my Lawson Equipment (mountainfitter) cuben tarp. Ran out and set it up. It's really nice. Like the bonded seam and edges. Size is right on for my BB. And a great price to get into a cuben. The reflective layer isn't as dark as I thought it would be. You can still just see through it.
    Specs:
Hexalite Cuben Fiber CTF3 Hammock Tarp
    11' Ridgeline
    7' bottom edge
    9' wide

I tried my hand at my first video. Hopefully it's not too awful.

i was going to question the stuff sack when you were first measuring it....did you wait for the rain? are you going to put shock cords on the pull outs to keep tension on the tarp? is everything bonded? when you say bonded is that glued or tape? what the reflective layer, is it a mylar?

Nice video review...thanks for posting. Ordered one today; was hoping to see one in action before I did but am sure I'll be happy with it now. Did you ever get that rain, and if so how did it sound?

It kept threatening to rain but nothing really fell while I was there. Really couldn't see it louder than sil.

I think I'll put regular guylines. Since it doesn't stretch like sil, there shouldn't be a problem with keeping it tight.

I would have to say it is a glue. And yeah, all edges and seams are glued without any stitching. Not sure if it's Mylar. Maybe Lawson will chime in on that.

Excellent and thanks for the review Dblcorona. Can't wait to get mine and give it a whirl, hopefully this weekend at Dolly Sods if I get to go.

He's been shipping stuff pretty fast lately. Have a great time at Dolly Sods. Looking forward to getting there for the Sept hang.

I ordered some of Lawson's 2mm reflective line to use as guyline and maybe the ridgeline. Hoping to keep it around 11oz.

Interesting video. I like Lawson's gear - well made. I also liked Bloomgorge's little Ti tie-offs. Like to see more of them.
