Well I love my DIY IX UQ it took 4 hours to make and was about 50 dollars worth of material if I remember correctly. The plans are on the forum and I made a three layer with 1.1 camo top and bottom covers. It works nice in my HH Safari and my Clark NX-250.

Whether trail or paddle don't you know
My hammock is the way to go
There peace and solitude I find
To ease all troubles from my mind
Both body and soul revel in delight
As day surrenders to inky night
Insultex UQ - 1 or 2 layer. 2 layer if going below about 50.
You will have to DIY, but you will get something worth more than what you pay.
A week ago I did 5 nights in Maine as a trial run of an UQ I made using polyethylene foam. I used 3 layers of 1/32 inch foam and was comfortable to low 40's in rainy, breezy conditions. I don't know if it would go much lower than that, it's rare when I'm out in sub 40 temps.
Nice thread. As someone new also, this is a great subject.
