    Scientific Proof of Hammock Superiority

So I was just chilling over on lifehacker today when this post caught my eyes Want Better Naps? Sleep in a Hammock

Looks like we have some scientific proof that sleeping in a hammock is better! Granted the real research is only on rocking and they used a rocking "bed" in the studies ... but we all know what they mean :P
I like metric, I use metric, for those of you who don't ... you should, for those of you who won't ... here.
    0*C - 32*F, 10*C - 50*F, 20*C - 68*F, 30*C - 86*F
    100g - 3.52oz, 500g - 17.63oz, 1kg - 2.2lbs, 16oz - 1lbs
    10cm - 3.9", 1m - 3.28ft, 1km - 0.62mi

I caught a similar write-up of the research on a filler article on CNN. Apparently to 'simulate' the hammock, they used a mattress on a rocking system. So essentially the hypothesis they were testing was "does gentle rocking aid sleep?" Based on the research methodology it would have been just as correct to title the article "Want better naps? Sleep in a rowboat."

All in all interesting research, but as with most studies they have zoomed in on one narrow parameter to the exclusion of all others. Generalizing from there is a leap of logic.
