+1 on cargo nets from Harbor Freight.
From some of them it requires just untying easy knots. From others, you'll pry off hardware, but pretty easily.
Cheap; and you can nibble / cannibalize just one long strand at a time.
The net lives on for awhile, just smaller. Nobody hears it scream.

I just got the smaller dia (1/16?) from a fabric outlet near my home...a larger one should def have it....I also picked up cordlocks from them.
