crosspost from main forum: SBLH indoor hang spot

I've been a total slacker. I've had the switchback light hiker since winter and I've yet to hang in it. I busted it out this evening in the shred shed aka nut hut south to show it off to the tent dwellin' buddies. They were blown away at the quality of the product and how freakin' comfy it is...take a peak and never mind all the junk. I haven't fully "moved in" the nut hut yet...

my buddy Bil trying it out.

It looks great! I have one on order. I am hoping to get it next week sometime before the long weekend up here in Canada.

I have yet to hear really anything negative about the switchback.

Hopefully you can find sometime to use yours! Enjoy your hammock!

That ridgeline for the bug netting looks neat, is it shock cord?
Learning how to tie a couple knots never killed nobody. First ones I ever learned were pretty hard but they've kept my shoes on me for the better part of 45 years.

The orange ridgeline inside the netting is not shock cord. I believe it's their no tangle guyline. The black line outside the hammock is fairly heavy shockcord. Then there is a another length of the no tangle that ties off to the tree or whatever. I removed the no tangle that goes to the tree, added a tiny Nite Ize biner to the shock cord and attach the shock cord directly to my tarp Ridgeline. It's a very simple and clean hookup. So far I haven't felt the need to use a spreader bar.

It's getting more and more difficult to keep from grabbing one of these hammocks. I'm still up in the air (sorry, pun intended) between this one and another. But the more I see the LH, the more I'm liking it. For reference, how tall is the "passenger" in the photo?

Bil, the guy in the hammock in the photo, is probably 5'9"-5'10". Brantley, the other guy in the pic is probably 6'1" and I'm 6'. Brantley tried the SBLH and said it was very comfy for him. Good litmus test for comfort with varying heights. It's spot on for me. Best hammock ever, IMO

The SBLH was pretty comfy - I could have napped out if the kids hadn't been above us upstairs tryin' to kill each other! This hammock is definitely on my short list.
