Hammock size for 6 year old

    Hey guys

I am going to sew up a hammock for my 6 year old son and was wondering about what size people normally make their kids hammocks?

48"x96" works great for kids. They will be able to use it for many years starting at 6 yr old. Too small is not as stable (easy to flip out of)

2sticks (daughter) and I made her last one this size.

    +1 to what hangnout said...

Basically, 2-3x as big as what they need... darn kids grow so fast.

I have a HC4U HH Clone I built for my daugter. It started as 3 yards of fabric, and it's a little cramped for her...

Thanks guys for all the advice... I bought 3 yards of ripstop so I think I am just going to use all 3 yards.
