Hey guys
I am going to sew up a hammock for my 6 year old son and was wondering about what size people normally make their kids hammocks?

It's hard to have a bad day in a good hammock. - Jeremy Flatt
48"x96" works great for kids. They will be able to use it for many years starting at 6 yr old. Too small is not as stable (easy to flip out of)
2sticks (daughter) and I made her last one this size.

Our DIY hammocks that I made my boys is their hieght plus 4 feet. Works out to be good their a little tough on the hammock, I have to use some strong bug netting from handcock fab..
they grow quickly, just make a big hammock. 4x9 is good.

Thanks guys for all the advice... I bought 3 yards of ripstop so I think I am just going to use all 3 yards.
