Once ain't bad...it's that 3am cage match that really blows.

Randy used some shock cord to position the head end, and reported that it helped quite a bit...gotta give that a try.

i am not sure if i understand what you mean, but i have been using an oversized bass pro synthetic bag to lay on(closed and zipped like a pad) in my hammock most of the winter ,along with a military bag as a cover, and when needed a military inflatable pad, never was cold sleeping in gym shorts only,that said, its not a set up for hiking/backpacking too heavy ,but i am working on cutting one of the bags in half and making a pocket to slide the pad inside on the bottom in order to cut some of the weight...we will see how i do..
