    First official hang this weekend

    Hey All,
well the Dr. cleared me and i did my first official hang this weekend..... Had an awesome time and learned some really important lessons.....
    1. Nylon does stretch but its so much better then hitting the ground like a dud scud missle
    2. when you think you have enough firewood get 5x as much
    3. underquilts are in need in NY even in the end of june....got chilling on the old buttocks
    4. come back here and read some more cause i so dont have it all figured out yet!!!!

despite some flaws the weekend was awesome....we dropped in at ELK PEN parking area off route 17 and hiked into fingerboard.....hung there for a while chatting with a few thru hikers then we hit the blue trail down to Lake Tiarorti (spck)......had some lunch.....refilled on water...then headed north on 7 lakes drive for about 1/2 mile and jumped back in... and found a nice spot to camp by total chance.....had a nice fire ring and we set up camp.... still need to figure alot out but what a great overnight it was....thanks for the help and advice everyone...im very sure ill be sticking around a while....

its an addiction stop or dive in your choice. Try making an underquilt from a sleeping bag I made one from a bag from a garage sale that took me down to the thirties with alittle room to spare or check out hammock gear you will not be dissapointed
