New guy from MI

Just wanted to say hi, I've been lurking for a little bit. I figured I'd better join after buying my first hammock, a HH UL Explorer.
I've been wanting to start doing some backpacking(always been happier outdoors) but I have some back issues. I came across the whole hammock idea on a forum I frequent, and ended up here.

So far I've only been able to just hang in the yard, but will be heading up into northern Ontario for a weeklong trip. The original plan was to share a crowded cabin, but I'll be testing out the new setup. I can't wait!

Looking forward to learning a lot here!

Thanks for the nice welcome. I'm debating spending the night in it tonight(not sure how my wife will feel about it

I'll definitely post a trip report, and lots of pics. For now here is my setup, HH UL Explorer, stock suspension, DIY paracord ridgeline for the tarp, and modified stuff sacks.
I'll probably get a second larger tarp, and an UQ in the future...:

Welcome to the forum. You will love your new setup. Lot's of great info and opportunities to hang out with fellow hammockers abound on this site. If you want some company on a hike or hang just post it here. I'm always looking for a reason to get out in the "piney woods" as Shug says...Bush
