He will be fine. He's an upstate NY'er.
Seriously check out the Bluff’s. Send me a P.M I may have time quick hike and I got a couple of kayaks if you’re into it.

Any information on where to camp (preferably primitive) in that area? I've seen pictures, and it looks quite beautiful, but I read somewhere that there is no overnight camping in the park.
I'd love some more info. PM coming your way!
That the Link Trail? Still learning all the hiking opportunities in the area. Just started going to school here in Rochester last fall, and haven't been able to do any real hiking yet. But whatever it is, consider me interested! I'll shoot you a PM as well.
I keep forgetting how big NY is...I'm down in the city (Bronx) and haven't done much hiking up there...only when I camp on Indian lake in Sable. It's beautiful up there and wish I could make it up there more often.
I camp at the Bluff's all the time; I live about 6mi away. BUT I MT bike in or ride the motorcycle so I have it with me when I’m camping. As long as you’re not partying and rising hell you won’t have a problem stealth camping. Your car will be the only issue. There are a few places that you can park and bike or hike in or there’s the DD camp ground that you would pass on the way.
