Bunch of cordage on the way

hey guys, so I ordered 50' of both amsteel 7/64" and tech line from http://www.diygearsupply.com/ and I'm wondering if you guys have any idea for what I should do with my extra line.

With the Amsteel i'm probably making two 6' whoopies and a ridgeline

with the tech line i'll be making a ridgeline for my tarp, guylines, and soft shackles to connect the tarp to the ridgeline (I'm trying to go for an all-cord setup with no biners, d-rings, whathaveyou).

if anyone has a suggestion for other cool things to do with extra scraps of cord i'm all ears, also, how long should i make my tarp ridgeline? 25' seems right to me

I would do at least 8' on each side of the tarp for a ridgeline. so ridgeline length+16 feet minimum

If you are making a continuous ridgeline 25 should be good. I use a 30 foot RL just in case I run into really large trees.

I made my CRL out of 30' of Lash-It, so it's probably around 29' after splicing.

hmm, can't seem to be able to see that link you posted Dutch. Also, i'm realizing that even the 50' that i ordered might not be enough for ridgeline and guides because yes, i agree that the ridgeline will probably have to be about 30' unless I don't use a CRL (but the benefits of a CRL are so numerous I feel like having a setup without one is just silly).

so now it seems that instead of an abundance of cordage i'm stuck with only 20' of cord for guidelines. I was looking for 8' on each corner, guess i'm gonna have to sub some paracord in until I can get another order out.

Ahh I see it is in the donating members area. It was a short whoopie sling that makes a belt. It can be an extension if you need one.

I see, i see. I'm thinking about just ordering 50' of zing-it from you dutch, the only problem is justifying the purchase of another 50' of cord! ah just kidding, who needs to justify that?
