I am brand new to the hammock forums but ive been a hammock camper for about 4 years. Ive used mostly ENO's and HH's until I ran across a thread about the Bridge Hammock. I immediately went off to my local fabric shop and picked up some nylon and borrowed a friends sewing machine and began sewing this bad boy. It has taken a little more time then I thought it would (about 20hrs) but its turned out really good. I made the bug net to be held up with bungee cords and also made the hammock so it could be turned upside down in case you don't wanna use the bug net. Another main difference between my bridge hammock and other bridge hammocks is my spreader bar connections. Several of the videos or pics I found all connected the spreader bars with metal rings sewn into the webbing in the hammock. I thought this style was heavy and required more modifications to the trekking poles then what I wanted to do. So I attached hose clamps on the end of the trekking poles. I want to upload pics of my hammock but there all too big in size (taken with my iphone). does anyone have a suggestions on how to resize them so I can show off this beast:-)
