A stroll to the Blue Gum Forest

I took a solo day walk up in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales a couple of days ago, and here's a video I made of the hike. No hammocking action, since it was just a day walk .

My first attempt at a video and still getting the hang () of the software, but I hope you enjoy...

    Nice work mate...

I was looking for a walk to do last week and this was in the runnings but I didn't have enough time. I ended up going on the Glenbrook circuit to red hands cave, then on to Euroka and back.

    Great first Vid...

Did you go to Acacia camp ground? if so how did it look for hanging? could make for a good overnighter comming in from Pierces Pass...?

Acacia Flat looked OK but not great for hanging. There's mostly larger trees too far apart to hang from, but I spied a couple of spots that'd suit the hammock. Would be a nice spot for an overnighter, though they say that the water is too contaminated to drink even with filtering or boiling. There were some better hanging spots further back up towards the Horse Track, but I don't know if camping is allowed back up there.

It's a "fuel stove only" area, so supposedly no camp fires are allowed, though there were a few fairly recent fire scars around. They're probably not so concerned at this time of year I guess.

I'll have to give that walk to Red Hands a go, haven't been in that area yet. We're trying to get down to Morton to do an overnighter down there in the next few weeks....

Beautiful landscape! And what a awesome high waterfall.
I must also comment that I very much liked your choice of background music - very fitting
