    CRL lengths?

Hey guys I was just curious what is the length that you carry for your CRL. Also what do you use. I have amsteel 7/64 and I wasn't sure if that was the lightest or the best option or even over kill. what is your opinion.

i carry 35' of 1.75 zing-it with a locked brummel loop in both ends.
attached on both ends are tarp flyz to tighten the ridge, my tarp is attached to the ridge line with soft shackles tied with a prussic around the rl (my preference is tarp over the rl) .
i leave my tarp attached to rl with pull out cords attached to the tarp and the tie out cord and tensioners attached to the tarp as well. all of that, has a pair of mesh tarp storage sleeves.
it 's a lot of stuff, but it makes for very rapid deployment and pack up.

My crl is 30'......I think the 7/64 amsteel is over-kill. Just my opinion since you asked!

I thought that it would be overkill. At work I believe that we have some zing-it that we are not using anymore. Didn't like it for what our intentions were. I will see if I can get my hands on it. That should be fine correct?

I use 36' of 2.2mm zing-it. I love the stuff! It's easy to make and run prusik on. I also have the same size amsteel as you and the zing-it is much more manageable and compact imo.

Nighthauk, ours is a 30' finished length and made of 2.2mm Zing It/Lash It. The Amsteel 7/64" line is overkill in my mind but can certainly be used.

Approx 30' of 1.75 zing-it for me, knot bone on one end and tarp fly on the other. Prussic knots for the tarp attachment to the line. Easy to setup and break down.
