NEHHA Hang planning stage

I do know that D.A.R. has a great big group site with lots of trees. Even more then the one at Mohawk and 3 times bigger.

They are booked every weekend (the group site) untill they close this year. I am going to call them in the morning to see if there group site is one of the ones that we can get as a walk up in October.

So it would realy be a fall hang

There would be no running water in the park, but there are out houses.

I think that this is our best option right now on a location for the fall. I haven't had time to go anywhere else and a lot of people need to make plans for this hang.
I just dont want to go somewhere that I haven't seen before and then have everyone upset about the location.

Have any of the dates/locations for this hang firmed up? I need to make sure that She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed (SWMBO) is cool with me going and doesn't already have me planned for something else.

I went and hung in the Harold Parker State Forest here in MA for four days, and looked about for a good site here. Unfortunately, since the Govenor here has essentially gutted the DCR budget, the campgounds are now officially closed. Camping now would be considered trespassing and prosecuted. Sorry!
