I've used Ed's webbing. Good stuff.

yep, i was getting ready to ask the same question about some of the different sources for webbing.
i know ed speer is one good source.
and i believe i`ll be staying away from the wal-mart webbing (see message # 12 in the thread "wal-mart lottery").
i do know that the webbing sold a the local outfitter is nylon & has way to much stretch. polyester seams to be a better choice.

I too will something make and joy in it's making
I made my slapstrap knockoffs from Ed's webbing, and I'm perfectly happy with it so far.

I have seen the webbing at hardware stores, but I have no idea of the quality. If it were me, I would pop over to hammockcamping.com and order some from Ed Speer.
I have used both Ed's webbing and similar stuff from Outdoor wilderness fabrics. I like Ed's better; it is softer and more flexible, and the price can't be beat.

I've used Ed's webbing more than any other. There's some cheaper stuff out there (I think someone posted a link to some on this forum somewhere), but I know how strong Ed's is and I know it works well. I'd recommend it.
