Attention Idaho Hangers!

I need some trail time! Planning to bug out for 2 nights sometime the week of the 18th. I am pretty flexible on which days but the plan it to drive up AM hike into either Red Mountain Lakes (NE of Lowman) or Jennie Lake (SE of Lowman) and spend that night and another hanging, fishing day hiking and general lollygagging. Snow should be more than sufficiently clear of those trails by then but plan for some muddy trail and potentially lots of skeeters. Both trails are under 5 miles one way and not to difficult from what I have read. Both have good potential for fishing from what I have read. Red Mountain will require a little bit of bushwhacking potentially as the trail goes past the lakes rather than to them.

Looking to get together some of the Idaho hangers for bit of time on the trail. If you can make weekdays work from the 18th through the 22nd post what would work here.

Dang! I'd love to go, but weekdays are no-go for me. That's super close to us too.

Of course...I still need to get my UQ/TQ sorted before any trips...

Paul, I'd also love to join you, but my wife is traveling for work that entire week, and with youngins' still at home.... well.. you know the drill.

Still looking forward to the 2nd Annual Idaho Hang in September. Have already told my wife she can't travel that week.

Well guys with a little txt messg pow-wow back and forth last night with MuseJr it looks like he can get away on the 23rd for a few nights. So planning now on a couple nights out that weekend but also thinking that hitting the weekend of the 16th might be doable also.

BUMPING this. Going to be headed out on Saturday the 23rd as early as Muse can make it up to Mt.Home, then headed for the Jenny lake trail head north of ID city. We are both thinking of taking our float tubes and gear to hang and fish for 3-4 days. Conditions are looking good for the lake to be packed with hungry cutthroats. They should be feasting on skeeters so plan for deet and bugnets.

One Final Bump on this. MuseJr is headed north early am tomorrow. We should be going though Boise by 10am and then headed for the Jenny lake trail head off of the Crooked River north of ID city. If anyone wants to join holler now or hold your peace till the trip report is posted We will be up there till Tuesday morning.
