What difference btw. WBBB 1.1 vs. 1.7?

    Hi there,
There seems to be a strong community of WBBB supporters here. Which finally convinced me to get one too, even though I'm not a regular hammocker.
There is only one point I could not figure out yet before ordering:
What is the difference between the Blackbird models 1.1 and 1.7?
I could not find an appropriate answer yet. And my mails seem to disappear at Brandon's spam box... But is the distinguishing factor the material (would be supported by the different weights)? Has it something to do with size? Where can I find a decent explanation?
Thanks for your support! I highly appreciate any input.
    Rick

The heavier fabric will stretch less with a heavier occupant. The number is the weight of the fabric in sq. yards...

Take your weight, and choose based on the recommendations table at the bottom. Having made a number of hamocks, I prefer the lighter weight fabrics...

As stated, the weight of the fabric used, with 1.7 being a heavier fabric. If you're very heavy - over 250# you'll have more support from the 1.7d, as the fabric is slightly heavier - which makes for a flatter lay.

The other difference is that the 1.1d comes in a charcoal gray and the 1.7d comes in an olive green.

    Thanks! Problem solved.

    Perfect!
Didn't know that it is that easy... I'll check the models once again and than make my choice.
    Thanks a lot!

I just got a 1.1 dbl and it definately is not grey...some sort of almost black green (might even be black) is as close as I can describe. Didn't used to be color blind...

    If you are still there:
It is Hammocks 101 at the warbonnet web site that give recommendations matching body weight to hammock construction materials.

Thanks DemostiX, I found that information already. Double Layer 1.1 seems to be sufficient and saves weight.
What I did not get was the "Alex joke" of Busky2. But never mind...

Did anyone ever try to use Hennesey Snake Skins with a Warbonnet Blackbird? Or ist this considered sacrilege? Or Hammock Bliss Sun Shield? I like the idea of these covers...

Yes I use the #4 HH Snakeskins to wrap up my WBBB and then I stuff the whole thing in the WB bishop style bag that came with it. Overkill I know but that's how I roll . I prefer making sure that my hammock never accidently touches the ground when setting up or taking down. The sack that it comes with is totally all that you need though.

I have no experience with the Hammock Bliss so I can't answer your other question.
