    .
    It's not a tube turner...it's a loop turner...see HERE.

I find it REALLY works well.

    try fids

check my previous post on splicing hollow core. The fids make all the splicing very simple. Making the grip fids ...well the video will show how easy that is.

That's awesome! Does JoAnn's sell the hollow needles? I assume these are the right type? Nothing says they're hollow, of course.

OMG what a difference technique makes! I just knocked out a BEAUTIFUL whoopie in 15 min. I'm sure as I do more (because now I just have to) I can cut that down further. God Bless HF!

JaxHiker, be forewarned. Splicing rope can become highly addictive.

Good job on your whoopie sling.

Why didn't you tell me this on Sun before I got so I excited with success I pulled it through? That was quickly followed by "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" but I recovered.

Oh hell, that's already happened. I predict a house littered with whoopies and other rope creations. I'm already gearing up for another Redden order. I figure I'll be to amsteel what Forrest Gump is to shrimp.

    And thanks!

Congratulations! I'm glad that it worked out for you. Now go put an ice pack on your forehead. It must be sore and swollen from beating your head against a wall.
